bitcoin sv

One of the most widely ridiculed projects in the entire cryptocurrency ecosystem is undoubtedly Bitcoin Satoshi’s Vision, more commonly abbreviated Bitcoin SV.

The founder of Bitcoin SV has made many claims over the course of the past few years that he is, in fact, the real Satoshi Nakamoto.

Despite this being ostensibly disproven several times through a series of court cases that found his evidence to be lacklustre, Craig Wright has continued to sue those who claim that he is not Satoshi Nakamoto and has continued to advocate for Bitcoin SV.

As a fork of the original Bitcoin, Bitcoin SV has many similar features in that is a proof of work chain with a fixed total supply of just 21m.

However, the coin has failed to gain significant traction over the course of the last few years and has ultimately failed at its mission of taking the top spot.

Can Bitcoin SV pump?

There are many who believe that the cryptocurrency markets have already bottomed, with Bitcoin’s low being just under $16k in the immediate aftermath of the FTX collapse.

If this is the case, then it may well be that Bitcoin SV can appreciate somewhat, given that almost all assets appreciate in a bull market.

Currently, the price of Bitcoin SV stands at $45, which is an increase of 18% over the course of the last 30 days.

There are many who believe that the tarnished reputation of Bitcoin SV means that it is ripe for a short squeeze: those who are bearish on the asset becoming too exuberant with its previous price performance and finding themselves to become forced buyers.

There is certainly a strong possibility of a short squeeze, and this is something that Bitcoin SV has experienced several times before in its history.

Is it worth buying Bitcoin SV?

Whenever one is evaluating the merits of acquiring a particular crypto asset, they must weigh up the potential risks and rewards of doing so.

Since inception, Bitcoin SV has consistently underperformed the asset that it was supposed to dethrone (Bitcoin) and has proven to be inferior on almost every metric.

If one is looking to invest or save in an extremely reliable asset that has been tested several times and has an extremely powerful network that grows stronger all the time, investors ought to look to Bitcoin.

For those who are willing to take a gamble on a narrative that has been losing steam for years, Bitcoin SV may be more alluring.
